I picked up "Around the Well" this weekend and I've been listening to it on and off most of the week.

For the most part, the sound style never changes, which isn't necessarily a bad thing. It's a very relaxing album with two of my favorite things in music: harmony and acoustic guitars.

Unfortunately, most of the songs sound the same.

I Got a Feeling - Black Eyed Peas

I don't like this song. I'm tired of the Peas.

Kings of Leon - Crawl

Such a great intro on this one. I think I'm all about the intro.

I don't need a good chorus or a good bridge or even good lyrics. Gimme 15 seconds of solid intro and I'm golden.

3 Doors Down - Loser

Not to be confused with Beck's Loser, which is a great song.

3 Dorks Down is not a great song, but it's today's earworm.

Cage the Elephant - Aint No Rest for the Wicked

I am both excited and afraid of hearing this song.

In one sense, it has a great throw-back, southern rock sound. But on the other hand, at what point does retro music turn from an homage into mockery?
