Rivers of Babylon

This morning it was Rivers of Babylon, from Sublime Acoustic: Bradley Nowell & Friends.

I first heard this song on April 12, 2008. I was riding in the car with Lyn A. We were in Austin, TX, headed to a camping site. Lyn played the entire album for me and I instantly adored the album. About 2 weeks later, Lyn sent me the album as a surprise.

What I like about this song:

a) It's acoustic. I love acoustic.

b) Although it's a live recording the quality is very good. Most live recordings sound bad nowadays, this one sure doesn't.

c) Someone is singing harmony.

and d) It's has biblical references, which sounds strange coming from Nowell.

What's an Earworm?

Do you know remember the Kit-Kar Bar theme song? or how about the Jeopardy! song? When songs or portions of songs get "stuck" in your "head", that's an earworm.

I have an earworm just about every morning. Most of the time it's different too. I thought it would be fun to track each morning's theme song.
